Once again, Palestinian Hamas has launched rockets from Gaza, and now Egypt at Israel. Egyptian President and Muslim Brotherhood confidant Morsi met with Hamas leaders in the Gaza Strip leaving many questioning exactly what those like-minded folks talked about. Pundits from across the country and weighing in on the violence and in typical fashion liberal bastions like reddit.com are full of foreign policy Neanderthals that place blame squarely on Israel’s shoulder. Here, we know better. In fact, the problem lays not squarely only on Hamas and extremism, but also on the reticent 'peaceful' Muslim community that refuses to reject these violent savages.

$1,600,000,000 in new taxes?

The Wall Street Journal is reporting President Obama has set his sights on $1.6 trillion in new tax revenue. This is what 51% of America voted for. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is not going work; as the saying goes: there is no free lunch.

Sit back and reflect on how our nation has changed when sane (allegedly) people vote for someone they know will raise taxes. It does not matter who bears the brunt of the tax increases, we will all pay. You cannot remove that kind of cash from the private sector and expect no consequences.

USA Today is reporting General Petraeus and his mistress communicated by using an online dropbox in an email account. Take it from someone who used to teach clandestine communication: this is the dumbest trick in the book. Amateurs do this.

Just because you are not 'sending' an e-mail does not mean the information you type on the computer magically gets to the online drop-box. When a man surrounded by the nation's top spies cannot figure out how to get a message discretely to his fling, we have much bigger problems. Read the article about Petraus and his lady...

After 82 years of operating, Hostess is closing their factories and distribution centers after being forced into bankruptcy from Bakers Union strike over an 8% wage cut. Hostess warned the Union members that if the strike did not stop the company would be forced to close. Now 18,500 people are unemployed. The bakery union contends Hostess failed because management failed to make the company profitable. Yet, no independent auditor has ever authored an opinion that Hostess Brands Inc. would fail to meet debt obligations.

The largest financial burden on Hostess was due to union healthcare and pension plans. Surprise, surprise. The bakery union represented only 30% (5,550) of the 18,500 workers. walmart hikes 'middle class' employee premiums

Employees of U.S. Wal-Marts will watch their premiums increase between 8 and 36 percent in 2013.  Many of the 1.4 million will forego health care coverage altogether.  Given Wal-Mart jobs are typically part time and lower wage(under 36k/yr), one can assume their employees overwhelmingly voted for Obama last election (Obama won incomes less than $36k by 18%).  So laugh a little bit inside when you hear a Wal-Mart employee complain about their premiums going up.   Read the CNBC news article here.
